Greetings from Jeff Toorongian

Hello from snowy Upper Michigan.  I’m Jeff Toorongian, and I’m part of an eLearning team at Michigan Technological University.  We support faculty who teach or are developing online and blended courses.  Services include instructional design, LMS training and support, and course content creation.  Training resources is an area that has been lacking at my institution and I hope that sharpening my multimedia production skills here in EDTECH 513 will benefit the training materials our team develops in the near future.

Winter Carnival statue from Michigan Tech University
Winter this year has been an off and on affair up north, which is NOT normal.  Recently however, we’ve received lots of fresh snow to keep our ski trails in great shape and supply material for our students who are hard at work building snow statues.  Our annual winter carnival celebration begin February 8.

I’m looking forward to learning with you this semester!

  1. Hi Jeff,
That picture is stunning! And it makes me realize that I have no right to complain about 50 degree weather. Students build snow statues? They actually go out in that weather? Amazing!

  2. Hi Jeff,

I love the picture too! I am getting ready to go to McCall, Id. this weekend for their winter carnival and ice sculptures. Hopefully I will see some sculptures as great as your picture. I am looking forward to this class. Noah
