The Road to Good Health ... a Podcast by Lisa Cmunt

The Road to Good Health is a podcast geared towards high school students in a nutrition content-based course. The podcast will outline different elements of nutrition as well as specific tips, tricks, and advice to keep students on the "road to good health." The podcast's aim is not to make students feel the need to be "skinny" or "ripped," but to encourage healthy dietary and lifestyle habits. The Road to Good Health references teen issues and interests in a fun and entertaining way.

The first episode of The Road to Good Health is all about eating right. It talks about correct portion sizes, natural food sources and their importance to a nutritious diet, friends and their influence on your eating habits, and food as a fuel for the body. Reference to zombie apocalypses and Olympic athletes keeps kids interested.

  1. Very, very good, Lisa. You have a very clear and engaging radio voice. I like it. I also liked your topic and learned a lot from it, especially the Zombie Apocalypse!
I think this would be a very good series. In fact, this podcast could even be broken into two episodes, one on proportions and one on social eating, both very intriguing topics!
(BTW, we raise our own chickens for eggs, grow a large garden, and have fruit trees, but I'm still hooked on brownies!)
    Great job.
    I really enjoyed it.
