The Crazy Pancreas Podcast was created to educate the general public about Type I Diabetes, share stories about living with diabetes from T1D parents & kids, sharing accomplishments related to T1D, and promoting the Crazy Pancreas 5k and other great T1D events in Utah & Idaho.
In Episode 1 the basics of T1D are presented, and Travis' wife Jenny joins him to explain signs and symptoms of T1D through the story of their own son being diagnosed. The accomplishment in this episode comes from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation who is moving forward with clinical trials of the artificial pancreas. Finally, Travis announces plans for the 2nd Annual Crazy Pancreas 5k and related events.
