Chioma's Introduction
Hi! My name is Chioma Umunakwe and I am a Kindergarten teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. I love being able to work with my students and watch their little light bulbs turn on. I would love to incorporate more technology in the classroom environment. I hope that I will one day be in the position to coordinate putting items like Ipads in the classroom. I am really excited to be a part of this program and learn the different uses of various technologies in the world around us. I want to open up my horizons career wise and grow into the person that I am meant to be.

Hello from MelissaM
Every time I look at the available electives for EdTech at Boise State I always choose different ones depending on my mood. Only one course appears on every list of courses I've desperately wanted to take and that is Multimedia. I'm very interested in livening up the presentation of course content to attempt to engage students who are really just not interested in learning history. I think history courses need to be more accessible and explored at a different level than just memorizing names, dates, and battles. I think the stories can become much more personal, the decisions much more relevant, and the material much more interactive.
I think redesigning the content and presenting it in more lively, original ways can make it more engaging to even the most bored students. I want to give students the opportunity to explore topics in ways they feel most comfortable, then try new methods and gain skills using technology in a learning environment.
I'm looking forward to learning more about how to use the latest tools of the trade so that I can create more exciting and involving lessons that will actively engage students and get them to really begin thinking about the lifestyles, problems, and decisions made in cultures very different from their own. The more ways students can interact with the material, the more they can make the knowledge their own.

L. Cmunt Intro
Hello everyone! I am taking this course because I want to learn how to integrate more types of multimedia into my Family and Consumer Science classroom. Finding new pieces of technology and software helps me keep my high schoolers engaged and learning in ways they didn't think previously possible. I hope to gain a better understanding of these types of multimedia and find fun ways to incorporate them into my students' daily learning.

Greetings!
Greetings to all,
My name is Aggie and I live and work in Moorpark, CA. Moorpark is a subburb of Los Angeles and is about 40 miles from downtown on the way to Santa Barbara. I teach third grade at a Performing Arts and Technology Magnet public school. Working at this school allows me to incorporate what I learn each week in my classes at Boise State into my regular class room.
I am most proud of the direction my job is going. I have incorporated moodle into my class and it use weekly as the LMS for my online assignments. My third grade students turn in spelling homework here, get their online math assignments here, and their most favorite activity attend moodle centers twice a week where I am able to differentiate learning for all.
If I am not at work or online for my classes I can usually be found, in the garden, in the kitchen, or on a hike with my husband and two dogs. We have two children who attend Chico State college in northern CA.
I am excited for this semester and looking forward to learning new ways to use multimedia.

Bushong - Introduction
My name is Douglas Bushong. I'm an instructional designer for a local utility.
The multimedia course is my last course before the portfolio in the MET program, though it was one of the first courses that I selected from the list of electives. I have already taken YouTube for Educators, Introduction to Edutainment, and all of my core courses. I did this mainly because I wanted to spend more time developing some of the skills for this class before taking it.
As I look over the syllabus and schedule, I'm pleased to see that many of the things we are doing in this class are things that I've done before in the program. This means that I can focus less of my time on the scramble of learning something completely foreign and more on learning the details of the tools we are using. With that in mind, my goal in this class is to polish my skill set, gain exposure to new multimedia tools, and learn any tips and tricks that I can from those more experienced than me.
Based on the class bios, we have an excellent combination of skill sets to draw from. I think this will be a good experience.
Hello!

Hello!
My name is Andrea Schurg and I am just over halfway through the BSU Ed Tech program. I live in Dillon, Montana with husband and two teenagers. My goal after earning my master's is to become a professor at the University of Montana Western (located here in Dillon) teaching future educators how to integrate technology in the classroom.
When I am not studying, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, following my kids in all of their activities, playing volleyball and softball, and quilting.
I am really looking forward to Multimedia course!
Hello All,
I'm Michael DiFelice and as of now I reside in Nampa Idaho. This is my 4th semester in the MET program and I am totally enjoying the new knowledge I have gained. Although I am familiar with the various forms of multimedia I know very little of the creation aspect. I hope, with the knowledge gained, that I will be able to create better websites and lessons incorporating various forms of media. I am currently trying to get settled in my new home of 3 weeks and wonder how one person can accumulate so much stuff. I will certainly feel better when things are in their place and I can concentrate more thoroughly on my studies. I am not presently teaching but hope to do some substituting and tutoring in the near future.
I look forward to working with everyone.
